Pins

The plastic injection mold spindle is a cylindrical part usually made of wear-resistant steel or alloy steel. It is inserted into the injection mold and plays a crucial role in the injection molding process. The pin defines the shape of the plastic part, participates in its cooling and must, depending on the injected plastic, resist wear or chemical attacks.

Ejector sleeves

Ejector sleeves are essential components used in the plastic injection process to facilitate the ejection of molded parts from the mold. They are primarily used in multi-cavity molds or where castings have complex shapes or hollow internal features. Ejector sleeves are usually hollow cylinders that are built into the plastic injection mold. When the mold opens after the cooling process, the ejector sleeves are activated to push the castings out of the mold. This is done by using hydraulic or mechanical pressure to push the parts out of the mould.

Sprue bushings

Plastic injection nozzles are used to deliver plastic melt material from the injection of the machine to the mold where the plastic part is formed. They are also present in hot runner systems to feed each part in the case of multi-cavity moulds.

Mold cavities

Plastic injection mold cavities are the cavities in which plastic material is used to form molded parts. They are the counterpart of the final parts to be manufactured and are generally made of high quality steel or alloy steel to ensure the precision and durability of the injection molding process. The cavities are designed according to the geometry and specifications of the part to be molded. They may contain details such as cavities, holes, ribs, cooling channels, ejectors, and other features needed to achieve the required shape and functionality of the final part.

Valve pins

In the field of plastic injection, shutters are components used to block or open the passage channels of the molten plastic material in the mould. They play a crucial role in controlling material flow and pressure during the injection molding process. The shutters are moving parts, contained in the injection system. They make it possible to control the opening and closing of the mold injection channels.

Air valves

In the field of plastic injection molds, valves refer to moving components used to allow the introduction of air between the mold cavity and the molded part to avoid the suction cup effect during ejection. They are most often present in the molds used to produce parts with thin walls (ice tray for example).

Leader pins

In the field of plastic injection moulds, guide elements are components used to ensure precise and stable positioning of the various parts of the mould. They respect the correct alignment of cavities, cores, plates and other mold components, which is essential for obtaining high quality molded parts.
